Deputy Sheriff

It is the mission of the Linn County Sheriff’s Office to provide competent and professional law enforcement services in an impartial and unbiased manner. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is the second largest sheriff’s office in Iowa. We are a full-service law enforcement agency that operates seven areas of public service, including the Patrol, Criminal (Detective), Communications, General Services, Finance, Civil, and Correctional Center Divisions.

We also have several specialty units including Accident Investigation, Bomb Squad, Drone Team, K-9 Unit, Mobile Field Force, Rescue 57 and Special Response Team.
