Chemical Munitions Instructor Recert

About the Training:

This one-day instructor recertification course will recertify instructors currently holding Iowa Law Enforcement Academy certification as a Chemical Munitions Instructor. This one-day class is designed to provide participants with updated knowledge, tactics and techniques that will prepare him/her to train end users in the deployment and use of chemical munitions.

This will provide a valid certification for three years, expiring 12/31/2026.

**This class extends certifications in both OC and Chemical Munitions. Registrants must hold Chemical Munitions Instructor certification.**

Required Equipment

• Eye and ear protection
• Duty gear normally utilized when deploying Chemical Munitions/Less Lethal Munitions/Distraction Devices
• Body Armor Required (Concealable or Tactical Vest)
• Flame-resistant gloves
• Gas mask
• Handcuffs to include key
• Baton with holder
• Can of OC spray
• Gas Launcher 37mm / 40mm (Mandatory) One or Both

Prerequisites:

Each attendee must be in good physical condition and able to perform the practical exercises associated with tactical applications with the use of these products.

Cost: $150
Agency will be invoiced after the event. ILEA does not accept pre-payment at this time.
